About feeble little horse

feeble little horse is naturally delighted to present their third full-length LP, bitknot. The album was written, arranged, produced, and recorded by Sebastian Kinsler, Lydia Slocum, and JakeKelley across their respective homes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.A spirited investigation into the unnatural space created between human nature and a culture of convenience, a synthesis of dirt and digital, bitknot by feeble little horse creates a language wherein one can re-imbue a sanctity of interdependence away from consumptive “self-sufficiency” and materialism. “The album art is based on the coincidental core memory matrix, which was used in old computers to store memory / access information using 0s and 1s. Eachcore, or ‘bit,’ is accessed through the grid of wires, like a knot that stores secret details and memories.”bitknotasks that we find new modes of being through this grid, entrusting one another with the collaborative construction of these knots. This negotiation with an ever-developing hybrid reality is expertly exemplified in the album’s production–the buoyancy of Kinsler’s arrangements provide a perfectly balanced surface tension for the weight of Slocum’s meandering introspection as they playfully harmonize against saccharine hooks, walls of noise, a supercharged car battery’s worth of synths and samples dropped in the ocean of their guitar-driven songwriting framework, and some of Kelley’s most laser-focused drums to date to create a sonic chimera that is as likely to be found nascently developing in the early aughts as some unknown, chromatic future.Rhymes written with sidewalk chalk that refuse to be erased in the Anthropocene’s acid rain of destructive relationships, Herbert Marcuse’sOne-Dimensional Man manifest through the spirit of a young woman born in the shadow of the Steel City’s industrial ghosts, a study of the clumsy alchemy of IRL and WWW–it is within these rhizomatic contradictions that bitknot proliferates

About Touching Ice

Instagram | Spotify | YouTube | Bandcamp

Touching Ice is an Electro-Industrial Pop band formed in 2023. Starting as an experiment between friends, Davis Stewart and Dominic Colangelo traced the blurred edge of movement and disruption. But it wasn’t until Abigail Reese joined, adding poetry on like lyrics onto their tracks, that the Los Angeles band crystallized into something whole. At its core, textured guitar riffs and pounding drum machines create a powerful dissonance, while heartfelt, pop-inspired melodies pierce through the chaos—ultimately revealing beauty within the brutal. It’s a reminder that beneath even the harshest frequencies, there can still be something soft. Something worth holding onto.

Touching Ice draws from the fringes of rock—think The Cherry Point, Bordems, Dystopia, The Dead C, and Ground Zero—while its drum and synth textures nod to modern electronic pioneers like Daft Punk, Skrillex, Justice, Crystal Castles, Salem, Soulwax, etc. Here, pop becomes a language of access, disguising contradiction and a kind of ecstatic cacophony to create beauty in abrasion, asking how much structure a sound needs and how much dissonance a hook can carry before it breaks. Fascinated about the academics applied to noise and the philosophical stand it takes, their work carves out a space where listeners who grew up on pop might encounter a noise wall for the first time—not as punishment, but as texture and depth. Touching Ice writes music in a semi-fractured way—songs begin as scattered splinters: a tendril of a lyric, a guitar riff, a stray bassline, or synth demo, or an archived voice memo, and building it piece by piece with their executive producer, Levi Matulis. Choosing the volatility of a band, Abigail, Davis and Dom personify beauty and chaos with guitars, a chain of drone synths and a drum machine under vocals that alternate between raw and high pressured autotune.

Their 2023 debut, “Praise Kink,” traces the sharp edge of softness with delicate whispers of circuit-bent electronics and fading synths, and is followed by the 2024 release of their three-part series, Jersey City / 2k14 Soft Grunge.

Their debut album, I Just Remembered Everything Always Works Out for Me, released on November 14th via American Death Records. Produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Touching Ice and Levi Matulis in various spaces across Los Angeles.
