TThe Last Jimenez is the project of Texas-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist David Jimenez, who was raised in the Rio Grande Valley near the U.S.–Mexico border. Drawing on the musical diversity of that region, where country, rock, pop, and conjunto intersect, his work reflects a sense of place shaped by life between cultures. After years as a sought-after guitarist, Jimenez stepped forward as a solo artist, developing a style he describes as “resaca pop,” inspired by the unique landscapes of his hometown.
