Patterned after the famous “in-the-round” writer nights in Nashville, Nashville To New York is hosted by Hall of Fame songwriter Gary Burr and hit songwriter Georgia Middleman. The show features Gary and Georgia along with two of their amazing friends, brought to the big city to entertain and thrill you with their songs and tales of show business. If you love songs and songwriting and have ever wanted to hear them right out of the mouths of the artists who dreamed them up...Nashville To New York is the show you do NOT want to miss!!

 

 

GARY BURR

 

Gary Burr is a Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame member, ASCAP, Billboard and NSAI Country Songwriter of the Year. He’s had fourteen #1 hits and has written songs recorded by Faith Hill, Garth Brooks, Carole King, Ringo Starr, Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes, Christina Aguilera and Ricky Martin, Kelly Clarkson, Joe Cocker and many more. A recording artist in his own right, Gary has released five cds including his most recent “Shout.” He went on the road with Carole King and Ringo Starr and from 2011-2017, was part of the country-rock trio Blue Sky Riders along with Georgia Middleman and Kenny Loggins. In 2024, Gary released his debut novel – “Reunion”- an imaginative reworking of The Beatles history where the lads are now in their late 50’s and John Lennon was never shot on that fateful day in front of The Dakotas. www.garyburr.com


 

GEORGIA MIDDLEMAN

 

Hit songwriter Georgia Middleman has had her songs recorded by Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Faith Hill, Reba, Joe Nichols, Martina McBride, Sheila E., Radney Foster, Maia Sharp, Mark Chesnutt, Sarah Buxton, Terri Clark and many others. Her song “When The Right One Comes Along” was featured on the ABC hit TV show “Nashville.” Georgia has released five cds of her own, including her latest “Requests” - an acoustic collection of her most requested songs. From 2011 to 2017, Georgia was one-third of the trio Blue Sky Riders, along with her husband, Gary Burr and pop icon Kenny Loggins. SAV MADIGAN


Sav Madigan is not just one-third of the all-female, indie folk roots band, The Accidentals - she's an award-winning singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, side artist, recording engineer, and session player, hailing from Nashville TN by way of Traverse City MI. She’s toured as a utility player (violin, viola, mandolin, banjo, bass, guitar, pedal steel) with the likes of Martin Sexton, Keller Williams, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Kim Richey, Peter Mulvey, Hannah Wicklund, and is currently on tour full-time with Lainey Wilson. Sav won First Place in the Folk Category and Overall Grand Prize for the 27th USA Songwriting Competition, Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Contest, Songwriter Serenade, Judge's Choice Winner of the New England Songwriting Competition, Finalist in the Folk Acoustic category of the 39th and the 40th Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. https://www.savmadigan.com

 


KATIE LARSON

 

Raised among the pines in the alternative folk/rock scene of Northern Michigan, Katie Larson is a multi-instrumentalist now rooted in Nashville, Tennessee. The first time she plugged her cello into a distortion pedal she fell in love. She’s toured professionally for over 15 years as a founding member of The Accidentals, recording over 10 albums and scoring opening slots for artists including Brandi Carlile, Martin Sexton, Guster, Keller Williams, and Moon Hooch, across renowned listening rooms to festival stages. After moving to Nashville, Katie and her bandmate Sav Madigan entered the co-writing scene, penning songs with writers including Maia Sharp, Kim Richey, Beth Nielsen-Chapman, Gary Burr, and Georgia Middleman. In addition to The Accidentals, Katie has performed as a full-time electric bassist/ cellist/ background singer for country pop artist Brett Young’s “Back to Basics” world tour from 2024-2025. Other performances include playing cello on the Ryman Stage for beloved Icelandic rock band Sigur Rós, opening for Joan Jett playing bass for rocker Hannah Wicklund, and occasionally playing lead guitar for fellow Michigander Patty PerShayla. https://www.instagram.com/katielarsonmusic/

The Cutting Room is New York's legendary dinner theater and event space. All shows have a $25 food and/or beverage minimum per person (unless otherwise indicated on your ticket.) Please note the ticket price goes mostly to the performers and production staff. The club sells food and beverages to continue to bring live music to NYC.
