Airport Tavern Music Hall — Tacoma, WA

All Ages

Grammy Award-winning reggae artist Kabaka Pyramid returns to South Tacoma Way on Sunday, November 15 for an all-ages night of roots reggae, dub, dancehall and hip-hop at Airport Tavern Music Hall.

Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, Kabaka Pyramid has become one of the defining voices of the modern reggae movement, combining the foundation of roots reggae with hip-hop lyricism and dancehall energy. His acclaimed album The Kalling, produced by Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, earned the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album, while songs including “Well Done,” “Reggae Music,” “Can’t Breathe,” “Kontraband” and “Warrior” have helped build an international following. Known for his electrifying live performances alongside The Bebble Rockers, Kabaka has performed on major reggae stages around the world.

Tacoma reggae fans got to experience that firsthand when Kabaka Pyramid & The Bebble Rockers performed at Reggae On The Way 2025 on South Tacoma Way. Now he returns for a full club show at Airport Tavern Music Hall, giving fans a chance to experience that same energy in a completely different setting.

Joining Kabaka is Dub Lounge International, a Seattle-based six-piece roots reggae and dub collective blending classic Jamaican rhythms with psychedelic improvisation, rich vocal harmonies, heavy bass and expansive dub textures. Originally formed in 2001 as the backing band for Jamaican reggae veteran Winston Jarrett, the group has become a fixture of the Pacific Northwest reggae scene and has shared stages with artists including Clinton Fearon, Scientist and Kabaka Pyramid.

Also on the bill is DJ Qualifi, a longtime Pacific Northwest DJ known for seamlessly moving between reggae, dancehall, soca, Afrobeats, hip-hop and R&B. With more than 15 years behind the decks, Qualifi brings the kind of selection and crowd awareness built to keep the room moving from doors through the final set.

There’s also some history connecting this lineup: Kabaka Pyramid, Dub Lounge International and DJ Qualifi all appeared on Reggae On The Way 2025, making November 15 a little bit of a South Tacoma reggae reunion.

If you caught Kabaka at Reggae On The Way, you already know what he can do live. If you missed that performance, this is your chance to experience one of reggae’s most powerful contemporary artists up close.
