8:30pm.
Violinist Austin Wulliman celebrates the release of his latest record for multi-tracked violins and electronics on the Argentinean label Sello Pasmoso: "un árbol es una canoa pero también es este violín". Wulliman will perform a wide range of works ranging from the soaring, lyrical virtuosity of Tania Leon's "abanico" to the moody vibes of Yaz Lancaster's "ISOLATION" and the swirling noise of Daniel Bruno's title track. Wulliman will be joined by violinist Theo Ramsey to realize a live version of Vicente Atria's playful, canonic maze of phasing "faz" from the record, as well as Christopher Otto's mysteriously vibrating microtonal "Violin Duo". Also on the program is a luscious sound bath from Connor Elias Way and fantastical, noisy bird songs from Pablo Chin, and new original music from Wulliman.
