Tuesdays are always lively and free at Open Mic with Ceni in the Abbey at HopMonk Sebastopol. Hear incredible local talent and be among the first to hear up-and-coming acts. Many bands have actually formed at this weekly event and Ceni strives to promote a respectful and supportive musical community.  In fact, the first Tuesday of every month will be loosely dedicated to musicians actively looking to join or create bands, just mention it when you're on stage and we will help.

Musicians wanting to play: signups are by email only. Email ceni @ hopmonk . com at 3:00pm on the Tuesday you'd like to play. The list usually fills up by 3:45pm so please be prompt. Ceni will make the list and personally respond to everyone by 5:30pm. Newcomers and first-timers are welcome and will get priority over returning players. You got this.

You will get 2 songs or 10 minutes including set-up and tuning (whichever comes first.)

HopMonk provides 2 vocal and 2 instrument mics, 1/4" cables, DIs for plugging in instruments directly, an 1/8" AUX input for mp3 players (bring your dongle!) and a friendly, supportive crowd. Amps are welcome but not required. We can accommodate bands and yes, we are cover-friendly. Also, although we're fans of it, this is not karaoke.

Each week a previously selected "Headline act" will grace the stage at 8:05pm for about 30 minutes.

This is a music-only open mic. Spoken word is fine but please no comedy.
